How many people here are or were part of the military? (including spouses/friends of, etc)

I like the military, even if I am leaving the Air Force soon myself, I like to know the positive impact it has made on people's lives.

So if you have been affected got any fun stories to tell about them? I always love a good anecdote about that.

Thanks in advance

How was your time in? Go anywhere fun/interesting?

I only went to 3 places during my time in;
Iraq for a 4 month tour

New Orleans for 1 month for the hurricane cleanup (BTW during this I learned just how scary it is seeing an outer band of a Hurricane wind hit you. I was down there when Hurrican Rita went by.. yikes landfall must really be scary after that).

and I went to Sacramento for 5 days.

three years during the korean conflict, army corps of engineers. no fun trying to build highways bridges and air fields, while the enemy is trying to stop you. upon returning to the states was assigned to a training unit as D.I. something I totally did not like, I was setting the example also taking the training along with the class. bummer!!
