I can feel your kisses
they are like
a thousand butterflies
fluttering through my soul
the breaths
I’m supposed to breathe
the part of you within me
that makes me whole
I feel them slowly
stopping my heart
with each racing beat
as if your lips
and subtle breaths
were a cold winter day’s
sensual heat

It is as if
I’m trapped
in a beautiful confusion
that has set me free
even in
the midst of darkness
there’s nothing
I cannot see
I am without words
as speechless as the sunset
stretched across
the evening sky
and just as beautiful
when you wipe away the tears
your love
makes me cry
