I'm talking the thing that is so important you cannot leave it to someone else.

For me, it's my income. I must have my income because without it I cannot meet the needs of the other important things in my life. So, I put my income before everything else. I put it before my children, my woman and even my health.

What about you?

My children for they bring happiness into my life.

My continence. Without that...well....do you want me to draw a picture?

Most important are my family and friends. Yes, my job is important also.

Mainly just the small things in life like my family, my friends, my health and safety.

Most important thing to me would be my health. After watching my mother almost die from liver failure, spending months in the hospital, and each day that I would visit there would be more tubes and bags hooked upto her, I realized that. When you have your health, you have practically everything you need in life.

You could have all the money/friends/family in the world, but if you have poor health, you will be miserable and make your loved ones sad.

I forgot to add income, births, deaths, funerals, weddings, birthdays.

I use the concept of a "non-negotiables" in my work, such as-what do you need to have/do every day that is not negotiable, for example, coffee, a nap, being with family and friends, etc. As I am still relatively new at my job, I asked a co-worker what she thought some of the clients "non-negotiables" were. I explained the concept and her face brightened and she goes "you mean like sex, I need to have sex everyday"; I say well yeah, now what about the clients? She said "oh, I wouldn't know anything about them". Now you may ask why don't I just ask them directly? Because- "you gotta a gun?" and other non sequiters are the usual responses.

Friends.

Almost forgot, health is very important, as is my safety.

Most important thing to me is Peace of Mind. Sometimes I have to look to different parts of my life for it, but I need it badly.

Health. Without it I cannot earn an income or take care of my loved ones. So I no longer feel guilty on taking the time and money I need to keep myself healthy. Or as healthy as I can be.

I agree I thought it was income until I had a health problem then I realized thats the top one. It made me desire the small things in life.

Yep. There have been a few times over the last 7 or 8 years since I got diagnosed with my health issues that I was scared to death I might not be able to continue working.

The only reason I don't stress about it anymore is because the stress makes me sick. So it's a cycle I can't afford to be in. Now I focus on doing things that make me healthy and happy. Which reminds me....it's time to head out for that hike. Have a great day everyone.

I suppose what is important to me is I can look into the mirror and like the person I see there. I have seen a lot of people say it is about health which is always up and down and tends to decline), or money (which is meaningless if your basic necessities are covered) or friends (which is sometimes just popularity)but a lot of those things tend to peak and valley so if you try to be someone you can like through out the other stuff doesn't matter as much.

Well I have a deadly health issue but I can work through that, so health is not #1 to me.
