this came to mind thanks to mnhikers topic. How many times do you flirt with a guy and he just plain misses it, or you think he just blew it off?

I have noticed that the art of flirting is lost on some people.

My ex was an idiot when it came to women flirting with him right in front of me. He really didn't get it. Let me tell you, though, other women know when a woman is flirting around guys. That can be bad or good. Depends on what her intentions are--fun or your guy.

don't have that problem, although I have a lot of men flirting with me right in front of their wifes, and the wifes miss it!

I would say after the first couple of times I tried it if I got no respones I would not continue to flirt with that guy. It would be apparent he is not interested or just clueless that I am evern flirting with him.

besides blatant flirting wheres the line between flirting and just plain good conversation!! for some reason when im out and about i can talk to complete strangers and a couple of times i thought there was flirting but then the boyfriend enter the conversation so i still had good conversation but then i knew thats all it was, so if no boyfriend is mentioned and you get contact info was that flirting????where is that blasted line at??? although i must say i have made alot of friends that way too!!

It didn't take long for me to decide that he wasn't interested - not that he didn't get it.

I love to flirt, but when men take it too seriously, or the lights come on, I'm like, ok how do I talk my way out of this one.
Hint: Never flirt in poorly lit rooms after you've been drinking, for obvious reasons.
