Any Bond fans out there? I saw Skyfall on Friday night and thought it was great. Much better than the last one.

Absolutely. Interestingly, it seems they reverted back to the setup that was present in the very first James bond movies.

I liked it too. A lot of action, a lot of special effects, great plot. A good movie I think. But the end is lil bit sad :/

Saw this with my dad a couple days ago. Loved it! My only problem was the Eve character. Didn't like her. Maybe miscasting. Other than that, Javier was super whacked out as Silva and I feel it was a million times better than Quantum. Especially the chase scenes and I am loving Daniel Craig as Bond now.

I liked eve. I don't think she was miscast at all.

Can't wait to see this one. Daniel Craig is the best Bond of the lot but I still think they should have cast Idris Elba as Bond.

I'm a Bond fan, just not a Daniel Craig fan, at least not enough to pay ridiculous ticket prices.

I don't go to movies that often these days, so a movie ticket isn't a big deal.

I thought it was good. Especially the graphics. I prefer Sean Moore as Bond though. I just think Daniel Craig is a bit bland in some parts.

Sam Mendes has made the best Bond film of all time (and that says a lot). The direction he took with Bond in Skyfall was terrific. Craig seems to be comfortable with being Bond as he was masterful in this movie. Granted the scenes he shared with Bardem were easily won by the latter, that still doesn't diminish how good Craig is in this film. There is just enough humor to go along with how rigid Bond is...and Craig has mastered that. In Quantum, Bind was all about revenge. In Skyfall, he is surviving while also proving that not only does his country need him but he also needs the life that you could argue was chosen for him. In the end, Bond comes to accept who he is (no matter how he got there). And Silva is the reason he comes to accept it.

I expected Bardem to be great as the villain. I never expected what I saw. He is magnificent as Silva. I've never seen a Bond villain displayed as Silva is and I loved it. You honestly can feel for the character and his reasons for why he is the way he is. The serene where Silva gets to see M for the first time in many years is brilliantly done both butch Bardem and Dench. And it's also chilling to see the love shown to her by Silva and how she shows more hate to him. Brilliant!

And the ending made me smile. Skyfall brought a lot back into the franchise and it will be interesting to see what the next film does. Also, I loved Adele's theme for Skyfall. It's a haunting song and she does a wonderful job singing it. Ranks up there with Cornel's "You know my name" (which I feel is the best theme song in a Bond film).

Haha, have there no AMCs where you reside? Matinees there are at least 6 bucks a pop.

Fake UK Government Ad Looks for Secret Agents, Codename 007.
An ad that appeared on the official job site of the UK Government is looking for a secret agent that doesn’t scoff at “removing” individuals which pose a threat to public safety.
“From time to time the UK Government has a need to removepeople whose continued existence poses a risk to the effective conduct of public order. So we require particularly skilled professionals who are prepared to work on a non-attributable basis to deal with these problems,” the ad says.
The ad promises travel to numerous foreign countries andall the necessary equipment, droppingseveral quite obviousnods to a certain secret agent we all know and love. “This role is particularly appropriate for thosewho like their martinis shaken and not stirred,” the ad states.
Of course, it’s all a joke, and the ad has been quickly pulled from the site, but TheVerge managed to grab a screenshot.
The job listing appeared on the UK Government’s recently launched gov.uk , touted as “the new place to find government services and information.” Some security improvements are in order, though, as pranks such as this one just should not appear on an official government website.
