Against the Wall
Her rage . . . her pain she threw the first thing she could grab and watched the glass shatter against the wall he asked her to stop . . . calm down “Like you stopped hurting me?” Her rage . . . her pain swelled to the point where she could do nothing but cry every word she tried to utter fell silently from her soul dissipating into thin air she couldn’t breathe and didn’t want to “Baby I’m so sorry” He couldn’t take away her rage . . . her pain “You have to believe me I’m so sorry” She lowered her head to lessen the sting of looking at him she was still in love with him and that hurt the most “And I’m sorry too but I can’t do this” And in the midst of her rage . . . her pain he turned towards the door and whispered, “I understand” and walked away “No you will never understand how much you’ve hurt me” The hardest part was watching him leave . . . it was as if her last breath had faded away |
