Never been on a cruise other than with the Navy and saw way too much sea time but now maybe it might be time to take one.

Two.
One to the Mexican Riviera, from LA, to Catalina,
Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas and Acapulco and back,
14 days.

The second was a 'turn-around cruise' where they
are just returning ships to port from their
seasonal schedule.
$500 for a stateroom with window/balcony, 8 days,
flown to Vancouver, BC, then down through Seattle,
home to San Francisco.

Was it anything like on The Love Boat? If not I don't wanna go.

Pretty much like the Love Boat.
Vegas-style shows every night, 1st run movies
during the day, endless eating of top-notch
food, the only thing you pay for are booze
drinks, all else is included.

You are so busy it goes so fast, breakfast
in bed if you want it, endless activities,
spas, massages, exercise rooms, casinos,
libraries, shops.

The best part are the stops, where you
disembark and enjoy wherever it is you are.
I hear the Alaska cruises are the best.
People go many times.
