Who has seen this show and what's your opinion of it? I had to read a Charlaine Harris book for my book club this month. Had never heard of her or this show, but apparently it's popular? I wasn't impressed by the book. I don't enjoy vampires/horror/typical fantasy. Lord of the Rings, The Last Unicorn, and Alice in Wonderland are all the exceptions I can think of. Well, and Fantasia.

Its a show thats made for teenagers that has had alot of money put into it I would not recommend it.

I find it quite racy.
 . I seen the tv show of it. Definitely erotic. Though it bores me with a similar theme to other shows, which is just another "Let's make vampires seem sexy" theme. Vampirs are meant to be scary.

A friend made me watch true blood. Ever sense then...my views on vampires has changed...didn't think I would like it. But i do.

You just need to look in the right places, if you're looking at horror released in the mainstream theaters only then you aren't going to find the scary stuff. The movie Stake Land is an excellent example of vampires being scary monsters again, no romantic brooding teens, just all out blood thirsty bloodsuckers. |

I love this show and i have watched 5 seasons of this show and recently start sixth season of this show and i am enjoying first episode of this season.

I just watched the season premier. I did NOT like it at all. The story sucked,the characters were all about getting laid,and the F word was thrown around way to much. Further more, I agree that vampires are supposed to be scary! If you want a good vampire story Watch "Vampire Hunter D" (It's an anime) The books are really good to! I could make a whole post about "Vampire hunter D" but this is a "True Blood" thread.
