That, tacked on to a repub senate that allowed no job initiatives to pass. If they had offered up any of their own, it would paint another picture entirely, but as it stands, the senate appears to be more interested in making Obama look bad than helping the country. ![]() Not saying much though since Lieberman isn't really a dem and the blue dog dems vote republican more often then dem. And then the President, bless his naive heart, thought he could get bipartisan support for what the American people needed. ![]() ![]() |

If they had offered up any of their own, it would paint another picture entirely, but as it stands, the senate appears to be more interested in making Obama look bad than helping the country. ![]() yes, in the first 22 months, democrats had the majority they passed lilly ledbetter fair pay act CHIP reauthorization ARRA SErve America Act FERA to go after mortgage and commodites fraud Helping Families save their homes act CRedit Card accountability Korean War Veterans Recognition extension of small business investment act Homeland Security appropriations national defense authorization worker, home ownership, and business assistance act military spouse residency relief human rights enforcement act emergency aid to american survivors of haiti patient protection/affordable care ace TRICARE Affirmation act (makes sure enlisted healthcare qualifies under minimal insurance requirements for new healthcare reform) HR 5146 preventing congress from receiving cost of living adjustment freedom of the press act iran sanctions wall street reform/consumer protection act along with many others for a total of 383 bills compared to the record of the 112th congress, which has passed 195,,many of which are naming post offices |

And then the President, bless his naive heart, thought he could get bipartisan support for what the American people needed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() its not that, both sides get things they want, and both sides dont get other things they want but it SEEMS like the dems in majority get things passed without republican support things that when proposed by REPUBLICANS do get their support and it seems like republicans get alot more SUPPORT from dems when they are in the majority which may be a tendency for dems to work better across the aisl,, but again,, there can be as many perceptions as there are numbers to compare,,,, |
