Michelle Obama: ‘We Are in the Midst of a Huge Recovery’ (She is expected to recover once out of the White House) CNSNEWS ^ | October 15, 2012 | Christopher Goins Posted on Monday, October 15, 2012 1:43:14 PM by yoe First Lady Michelle Obama said in a radio interview on Friday that the United States is in the “midst of a huge recovery” because of what “this president has done.” Pablo Sato, co-host of Pablo & Free on WPGC 95.5, a Washington, D.C.-area hip-hop radio station, asked the first lady: “Mrs. Obama, you know what, in your words, tell us what you think the state of the union is in right now?” Mrs. Obama said, “I mean, we are seeing right now that we are in the midst of a huge recovery. Right? Because of what this president has done.”

According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), the real gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 1.3 percent in the second quarter of 2012, down from 2.0 percent from first quarter 2012. The BEA data also show GDP growth of (negative) - 3.1 percent in 2009; 2.4 percent in 2010; and 1.8 percent in 2011. _____________________________________________________________ She gonna' hate given up all those Tax Payer paid vacations. numbers are easy to spin to our liking our gdp increase and decrease 2007-2011 (remember FY 2009 was still the BUSH budget and policies) 1.9 -0.4 -3.5 3.0 1.7 ..if you want to ignore the preceeding SHRINKING GDP to quibble over a slower INCREASE than desired you can have at it,,,, but to me, when you start at -3.5, getting to a + 3.0 is RECOVERING,,, and dropping back to 1.7 is the opposite. its still more than where I was at two months before, its still RECOVERING from where I Was,, it just has to STEADY on the PLUS side and not go back down to BELOW ZERO... Actually unemployment in Nevada is growing. Get your numbers right. |
