this world be a sad place if we were all the same.

kudos!

I dont even care about the taxes, Id pay more like some other western countries do, to have a more caring and united country,,,

Easy to not care when you don't pay. Anyway you could try to move to one of those countries.

I havent cared when I paid taxes and wont care when I earn enough again to pay taxes.....

How does it work? They lie about it, of course.

I don't know what "a been high offer" is, but congratulations on your raise. It sounds like you're worried about your tax rate. So you're getting up into that $250K range already? You must have a fantastic job.

Democrats are too beholden to those who consume taxes to stand up for those that pay them.
Do they very well off not use our roads to transport goods?
Do they not use police protection to protect their vast wealth?
Do they not benefit from an educated work force?
Do they not benefit from our armed forces protecting their interests? IS it to much to ask that those who work earn enough to feed and house their families? IS it to much to ask that if someone falls ill and cannot work that their most basic needs be met?

These are just some of the differences between Dems and Repugs.
you wish!laugh

You didn't build that either!
Who do you think pays for most of it?

here,chew on this Bone!

Top 20 Percent of Households Pay 94 Percent of The Nation's Total Income Taxes (maybe we should be thanking them?)

For all four of the bottom quintiles, i.e. the bottom 80 percent of households, the income tax rate has been dropping fairly steadily since the early 1980s. In contrast, the tax rate on the top 20 percent has held relatively steady at about 14 percent of income. The tax rate on the top 1 percent has also held fairly steady, but at a higher rate of about 21 percent. Since 2007, the tax rate on the top 1 percent has actually increased, from 19.4 percent to 21 percent, such that it is higher now than at any time since the Bush tax cuts. This is largely due to the collapse of the stock market, which reduced capital gains as a source of income.

It follows that the share of income taxes paid by top earners has increased as well. As Figure 2 shows, in 2009 the share paid by the top 20 percent of households was 94.1 percent, just shy of the record high of 94.6 percent in 2008. This is up from 64.7 percent in 1979.

Likewise, the share of taxes paid by the top 1 percent has increased from 18.4 percent in 1979 to 38.7 percent in 2009. In contrast, the share of income taxes paid by the bottom four quintiles has decreased since 1979, particularly since 2007.

You can substitute dems for repubs or repubs for dems and they will both ruin our country into the ground. pun intended.

Haha I am not in the highest tax bracket. More like the 25-28% but you add in state tax and you are talking 30% or so of my income. Let's just say I do probably pay more taxes then some people earn a month. The point us people like me pay the highest percent when it's said in done because I have no investments to get capital gains tax and I have no wife or kids and thus no big deductions. That isn't fair in my opinion. If I choose to not marry and not have kids I shouldn't have to pay a higher percent for the same salary. It's basically a being single tax. Just another reason I support a flat tax.

If you are paying Maybe 10% then it's easy to say you would pay more vs someone already paying 3 times more.

anywhere below 100000 I would gladly pay up to 25 percent

anything over 100000 I would gladly pay up to 40 percent

,,,,IM not sure of a tax bracket that is above 40 percent

I dont know about being punished

I consider it contributing to the opportunities afforded as a result of being a part of this country

and, IF I had more disposable income due to no dependents, I would be willing to contribute more

I cant tell you what you should or should not do,, thats your business,
