I can totally relate to Biden...Good for him for being so real and authentic...Ryan seemed "robotic" at times... Where are the details and specifics about the tax loop-holes that Romney and Ryan plan to cut?...I don't trust Medicare vouchers...I don't trust that Romney will end the war in Afghanistan by 2014.

didn't Obama say he was going to get our troops out of there by July 2011??? And didn't Obama push the date back to 2014?

You bet! Columbus, Da Vinci, Einstien, Asimov, Sagan, Ghandi, just to name a few, they all proved that to be true!

Seems there was a guy named Jesus once as well.

Those guys dealt with actual reality, not the alternate reality in the cartoon that you posted.

Besides, you went way off topic with that cartoon post.

rofl we will pardon your lack of historical knowledge for not knowing they were all considered wackos until their points were proven. Then becoming noted scholars, teachers and leaders in their fields!

And not offtopic since Peccy said we needed another choice

I might also add that without alternate reality there would be no invention or progress, only a culture of zombied passifists.

It was a much stronger debate, for certain. I loved Biden not letting any of the statements go. Basically, the debate opened up an interest in people to 'trust their gut' and research the information themself,, as opposed to just hearing any one side of things ramble on and on,,,,

being polite can be seen as weak, being aggressive can be seen as disrespectful... at this point it comes down to the candidates followers which way they interpret the behavior

I enjoyed it because there isnt as much pressure on Biden to be pc and polite but yet come across strong

I especially enjoyed seeing Ryan called on the criticizing of stimulus while requesting stimulus funds and the criticizing of Obamacare while supporting Romney care,, or how Ryan went on about there not being enough embassy protection and being called by Biden on his signing legislation to reduce FUNDING for that protecion,,,

and I loved how Ryan never really answered the last question about how sad the campaigns are except by doing the very thing criticized and putting it all on 'this administration'

whereas Biden did say both sides should be regretting certain things,,,

People expect Biden to say what he means, and that made for alot more chance at refuting the Romney Ryan tickets claims,,,,

Biden won this one. There were a number of great Biden quotes...
and we're going to see them over and over the next few days.

"But I always say what I mean.... and so does Romney." ~ Joe Biden

"I refuse to impose my religious views on others" ~ Joe Biden

"Facts matter." ~ Joe Biden

Oh give me a break, you would have thought that if that smug condescending joke of a VP would have won Slow, if he hadn't even shown.

And Ryan, well I didn't believe hardly anything he said, but he did better than that stuttering Biden. It was all for show from both sides..........we need another choice!

Naw - that is really not true. I don't have a horse in this race.
I just thought Biden did a slightly better job overall this time
and was more entertaining and had the most news-bite worthy
quotes!

laugh

I really thought Ryan was winning in the beginning when he attacked
the administration on Benghazi policy and response. Biden missed the
opportunity to nail him better for Romney's much criticized initial
reactions. Ryan bashed them again on their lame foreign policy
decisions and our actions, inactions and inept reactions to the
Arab spring and Biden had no good comebacks despite his supposed
"great foreign policy experience". Biden looked dumb trying to defend
the Obama administration's Iranian and Mideast policies...especially
when he said that even when they have enriched material they still
have to develop the bomb mechanism and delivery system...What next?
After they develop/buy/steal a bomb mechanism they are going to say
that Iran still has to buy a bus ticket to Queens?

whoa laugh laugh laugh

But then Ryan lost it when he refused to get specific about the
budget issues which is where everybody's biggest concerns are...

Ryan had nothing on escalating health care costs and how people
were going to be able to afford insurance, get good medicare,
get social security benefits and GOP abortion position was shown
to be extreme. The lack of specifics on the part of the Romney/Ryan
team looked lame compared to Biden's command of the specifics of
the Obama/Biden ticket...Biden was just a lot stronger in the
stretch and surprised me with his ability to be both funny and in
control on several of these issues.

laugh He is usually comical whether he is trying or not... laugh

I mean it was hardly a rout but Biden did slightly better IMO.

Ryan and Romney basically have no counter to letting the Bush tax
cuts expire for those making over $250K. Finance is really the area
where they are in the biggest trouble. It is hilarious actually.
Democrats are weak in foreign policy and Republicans are weak in
fiscal policy! WTF?!

laugh

Plus the Republicans are going to try to outlaw abortion and cannot
demonstrate with credible figures how the average American is going
to maintain low cost access to health insurance or healthcare.

laugh

What's wrong? GOP not willing to let Americans and their doctors
decide for themselves if they need an abortion? Are their
calculators broken?!

laugh

"I will be very specific. Number one, the — this lecture on embassy security — the congressman here cut embassy security in his budget by $300 million below what we asked for, number one. So much for the embassy security piece." ~ Biden

How do I say this nicely Paul Ryan is the next Joseph Goebbels. Watching him spread war propaganda makes me sick. Biden was also very rude and condescending.

The build up for the next Obama-Romney faceoff has
never been better. I am hoping it will be equally
entertaining.

laugh

Too bad we are going to have to vote for one of them.
