Twitter Explodes After Black Actress Endorses Romney as the ‘Only Choice for Your Future’
Actress Stacey Dash, who has starred in everything from the 90's hit Clueless to CSI, prompted a firestorm on Twitter after publicly endorsing Republican nominee Mitt Romney, and then standing by her opinion. “Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future. @mittromney @teamromney #mittromney #VOTE #voteromney,” Dash wrote on her official Twitter page, accompanied by a photo of herself with an American flag. Not long after, presumed Obama supporters began insulting Dash for her opinion, saying she isn’t “black” enough, several even asking if the actress would just “kill herself.” One man wrote: “This hurts but you a Romney lover and you slutting yourself to the white man only proves why no black man married u @REALStaceyDash.” As news of Dash’s treatment spread, however, First Amendment-lovers nationwide began voicing their support for the actress using the hashtag #ISupportStaceyDash. Twitchy captured some of the worst responses to Dash’s Romney endorsement (content warning): And here are a few more (content warning): But Dash was apparently undeterred by the cruel reaction, and sent a number of sarcastic responses to the worst offenders, wrote a tweet reminding that she is entitled to her own opinion, and– to top it off– re-tweeted a Romney campaign message. “Women have had enough of @BarackObama’s disappointment. We need new leadership to get our economy growing again…” the re-tweeted message reads. Here a few of the top #ISupportStaceyDash tweets: And a few more: One man summed it up as a choice between Republican Utah congressional nominee Mia Love and Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke. “#ISupportStaceyDash regardless of whether she gets a phone call form #Obama or not,” another wrote, highlighting the stark contrast between how quickly Fluke was propped up after being called a “slut” for advocating taxpayer-funded birth control, and how quickly Republican Stacey Dash was dragged through the mud for failing to support Obama in 2012. being called slut by a national pundit on a national stage is not quite the same as having randomn twits on twitter posting hateful rhetoric
the latter happens across internet mediums such as youtube, twitter, and facebook EVERYDAY,,, personally I feel mrs dash is free to vote her concsience as I am, I have no issue with people voting for Romney, I only take issue when they need to result to personal defamation or bigotry to make their points,,,, |

I will be waiting for Democrat celebrity pundits to condemn the hate speech. |

Lol I think she could care less about those comments on twitter. She is a rich celebrity and beautiful. Not everyone on Twitter's opinion is valued. Anyone who likes to talk trash on twitter is an idiot.

Now I ain't a fan of either those losers, Barry or Mr Romney. I will fight for whatevah, (rocks head with attitude), that hot little Ms Stacey Dash wants. Hey, old farts can have fantasies also. |

Anyone who likes to talk trash on twitter is an idiot. with this I totally agree,, internet sites such as facebook, twitter, myspace, etc,, are far too large and there is far too muuh protest to 'censor' against such idiocy and those in the public light are no less apt to such responses than the millions of 'average' folk who have their opinions bashed,,,, |

Can't be called hate speech unless it's said by a Caucasian.
Dat be a fact, Jack! |

The hate speech described in the OP has become public knowledge - national knowledge (in the USA) - and it merits condemnation no matter who made the hate speech or who it was aimed at. I will not accept a double standard when it comes to hate speech.

I will not accept a double standard when it comes to hate speech. As it should be. Unfortunately, Caucasians are the only ones called homegrown terrorists when they do it. PS I quit cable about a year ago. I only get local Mexican channels. |

Yet, thus far, I do not see in your posts any condemnation of the hate speech. Do you condemn the hate speech aimed at Stacey Dash? |

sooooo because she is black, some expect her (and get down right nasty) to vote for Obama because he is black????
Reminds me of when he first ran. The bar I used to shoot pool at had people there that only voted for him because of his race. They had no clue what he was standing for or anything. I think people voting because of a race (any race) and not because they think the person is the best for the job is pitiful |

I think people voting because of a race (any race) and not because they think the person is the best for the job is pitiful I agree, with the correction that people voting in favor or AGAINST someone because of their race and not who is best is counterproductive and I heard plenty of the racism on both sides when Obama first ran,, those whose racist beliefs wouldnt allow them to support him as well as those whose race wouldnt allow them not to support him |

Barry had no qualifications that would make him a good president.
He was voted for because of his race. He is still not qualified to MANAGE a country. Intelligent and delicious women like Ms Stacey make wise decisions when they don't support because of race. |
