That Southern accent is oh, so fake.

Never before seen tape. Uncut.
Watch it before it gets burned in the bonfire.

In heated ’07 speech, Obama lavishes praise on Wright, says feds ‘don’t care’ about New Orleans [VIDEO]

As the speech continues, Obama makes repeated and all-but-explicit appeals to racial solidarity, referring to “our” people and “our neighborhoods,” as distinct from the white majority. At one point, he suggests that black people were excluded from rebuilding contracts after the storm: “We should have had our young people trained to rebuild the homes down in the Gulf. We don’t need Halliburton doing it. We can have the people who were displaced doing that work. Our God is big enough to do that.”

This theme — that black Americans suffer while others profit — is a national problem, Obama continues: “We need additional federal public transportation dollars flowing to the highest need communities. We don’t need to build more highways out in the suburbs,” where, the implication is, the rich white people live. Instead, Obama says, federal money should flow to “our neighborhoods”: “We should be investing in minority-owned businesses, in our neighborhoods, so people don’t have to travel from miles away.”

The solution, Obama says, is a series of new federal programs, including one to teach punctuality to the poor: “We can’t expect them to have all the skills they need to work. They may need help with basic skills, how to shop, how to show up for work on time, how to wear the right clothes, how to act appropriately in an office. We have to help them get there.”

WATCH THE NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN FULL SPEECH:

In the prepared version distributed to reporters, Obama’s speech ends this way:

“America is going to survive. We won’t forget where we came from. We won’t forget what happened 19 months ago, 15 years ago, thousands of years ago.”

That’s not what he actually said. Before the audience at Hampton, Obama ends his speech this way:

“America will survive. Just like black folks will survive. We won’t forget where we came from. We won’t forget what happened 19 months ago, or 15 years ago, or 300 years ago.”

Three hundred years ago. It’s a reference the audience understood.

I think it was that same year (2007) that he said the piss poor response to Katrina was racially motivated. Apparently only black folks live in Louisiana laugh

If there is nothing wrong with what President Obama says in the video, then Democrats shouldn't object to the video being seen now.

I dont object.

IT may be little known that most black folks are bilingual and able to adapt their tone and conversation to the occasion. Happens quite a bit as a necessity in finding a job,,,,certain dialect is expected.

the four minutes (highly edited) also includes Obamas reference to being introduced to Jesus Christ,,(ie christian) and having his sins redeemed

nothing in the clip says anything about race, people in new orleans were mostly black but not all black, and it did seem they werent cared about as much as others in natural and unnatural disasters,,,

people in cities are also not just blacks,, and do need to connect to jobs

we do need to invest in our own neighborhoods, even when those neighborhoods are black

,,,,I find nothing to object to or be upset about,,,

let me rephrase then,, most black folks I know (and growing up from a big black family, I know quite a few from all over the country)

are bilingual

capable of speaking in more than one dialect

there is nothing 'fake' about it

there is only adapting to environment, which most black folks I know are also quite skilled at doing,,,

Show us the proof of that outrageous claim, please.

Are you saying, faking an accent or ebonics are other languages?

Is this the proof of Bi-Lingual you was referring to?

Obama says the Rodney King beating was a scar on all of us. Only Obama would have sympathy for a criminal. Haha funny stuff Mr President.

The same rhetoric that caused the LA Riots.

I will remember that next time someone is beaten down for JAYWALKING,,

committing a 'crime' doesnt make one less human or excuse cowardice by others who gang up on and beat someone down who is unarmed,,,,

Lets see comparing a man running from the cops to jaywalking.
He resisted arrest. Drove drunk and high. Did not get out of the car. Did not give up after being tased. Resisted arrest. He deserved to get beat down.
The two people who got out of the car with King did not get beat down because they followed simple instructions.

I dont care WTH he did, if he didnt rape or murder someone

this was an act of cowardice by police once they had him on the ground,,the rest would have been a crime for anyone without a badge

Or course that video does not show him reaching for the officers gun and out of control.
The term "subdued" means a suspect is handcuffed and in control.
As
long as a man refuses to place his hands behind his back to he can be

cuffed he is not subdued, and he still poses a threat to the officers trying to arrest him.

With this idea in mind officers trying to control a suspect must do what they can make a suspect submit to being cuffed, even it it means using force.

Was the amount of force used on King reasonable? You can argue that until the cows come home, but the bottom line
is he wasn't shot so you really can't say it was terminally excessive.

let me restate

once that man was unarmed and ON THE GROUND all action after that was excessive and cowardly

I dont have to see a man be DEAD Before I can say someone used excessive force

a drunk may not put his hands behind his back, SO WHAT

the police had ample opportunity to put his hands behind his back for him, theyve done it before

but their preference was to continue BEATING on him

he was clearly unarmed and barely able to move, beyond putting up his hands repeatedly in response to being BEAT , the beating was UNNECESSARY

Was he Muslim before that?
