I have previously posted about this. What do you believe it means? Matthew 5:39 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. Basically says it straight up. No parables, no figurative speak. Just a straight up instruction. Which this can be applied to most everything. Jesus was telling us that it is no longer fighting fire with fire, but turning the other cheek and forgiveness. No longer an eye for an eye, but again forgiveness. |

I have previously posted about this. What do you believe it means? It refers to a type of personal insult that used to be practiced, one which involves the slapping of a person's cheek. |

It is forgiveness for not only physical affronts, but financially ones as well...

I look at it in a much more complicated way. If a stranger, friend, or lover does something that offends you (this is common) then forgive them and try to understand why they did it. Give them time to think about their actions and realize their mistake. We all make mistakes due to emotional upset and misunderstandings.
If someone poses real harm to your person or family (or country) defend yourself, your family, and/or your country. |

Real and undiluted christianity? Good grief, did you even google the info? I question everything, because this is the way He created me. Non violence does not mean standing without dignity. Be blessed.

It does not mean to stand by and let your family be slaughtered.

He said to them, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one. Luke 22.36
I dont think swords would be necessary if self defense was off the table,,,, |
