I'll always be honest with them. You say protect their well being? No one can protect another's well being. You state it in a way when someone "dies/passes" away on Earth, that's the end of the line, it's finished. They have no more "life or well being". Why do you see it as such? Do you not believe Earth will be made like it is in Heaven where we will live for eternity? If you do, why refuse to listen to our savoir?

It is not Godly to allow harm to come to those you are sworn to protect.

So which one do you hold on a higher level? An oath may have taken or God's specific instructions on the subject? Why take an oath that goes against God's will and again instruction(s)?

I think of the story of the Centurion who asked the Lord to say the Word to heal his servant.

This guy was a soldier who was on duty, ready to defend what he enlisted to defend.
Yet as Jesus saw that this soldier was a man of faith his blessings were granted.
The man was not condemned for his military duty.

That is contradictory to what you are preaching, no?
I read, no matter how one is treated, it's Christ-like to turn the other cheek and forgive. Just because someone abuses you, aren't you supposed to just forgive?

If that abusive person is in your house, do you kick them out or, turn the other cheek and allow the abuse?

Now, again.

Can you please explain the relevance of this post? A soldier asked the LORD to heal a servant, not specifically a military servant, but just a servant back at his home. Again, where is the relevance to this discussion?
