To all of those who voted fro Obama because he spoke "so beautifully" All his lies bit you in the a$$ didn't they? Im not 'bitten',,,no. HE fulfilled some goals and not others(like EVERY candidate to ever run), a governement is more than the president. I guess to all those who UNDERSTOOD how government works and voted for Obama because of his vision for what he hoped to accomplish,,,,,we feel more 'bitten' by congress. |

Under President Barack Obama, the national debt has ballooned past the $16 trillion mark — a number once inconceivable — and is growing by the second as the federal leviathan feeds on borrowed money.
And on Letterman last week, a bromance if ever there was one, Obama was asked about the debt when he took office. Letterman: Do you remember what that number was? Was it $10 trillion? Obama said he didn't remember. He added that we don't have to worry about it right now. Later, but not now. But as a presidential candidate, Obama was horrified at the debt of then-President George W. Bush, charging that Bush had taken out a credit card from the Bank of China. The first 42 presidents had driven the debt to $5 trillion, he said, but Bush "added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child." "That's irresponsible. It's unpatriotic," said candidate Obama. Under Obama, in just over three years, the debt has ballooned to $16 trillion. He spends and spends. But he sure looked cool talking to the pirate. And all that $16 trillion debt does is grow. |

But he sure looked cool talking to the pirate. And all that $16 trillion debt does is grow. this is true,, its growing what is sometimes overlooked though, just mathematically speaking, is when assessing the debt as it has been 'driven' (grown) by presidents the raw numbers mislead because they dont consider that their have been SURPLUSES and DEBTS for instance if there are ten of us with a budget each of one year year one : surplus 1 million year two: debt 2 million year three: debt 3 million year four: debt 4 million year five: surplus 1 million year six: surplus 2 million year seven: debt 1 million year eight: debt 3 million year nine: debt 4 million year ten: debt 5 million ,,it would be misleading to believe that between the ten of us we collectively only caused 5 million in debt GROWTH although the end number is 5 million we collectively , between year one and two, grew our debt by 3 million,,another mill in year three, another mill in year four making five million of additional debts between year one and year four(as opposed to the raw number of four million) ,,then in year five, to get to a surpluse of 1, we reduced our debts by 6 million dollars another reduction of 1 mill in year six, for a total of a debt reduction of 7 million but in year seven, we erased that seven million of reduction and added another mill,2 mill year eight, 1 mill year nine, and 1 mill year ten so that we actually added a total of 11 million dollars, as opposed to the ending BALANCE of 5 million we have grown the debt another 6 tril since Obamas innaugaration and 4.2 tril since the implementation of Obamas first budget,,, SO its probably not completely accurate to state he has added more than all presidents before him,,, but that math is more complicated than simpler numbers that people prefer to look at,,, |

Pure BS. hmm ok so , if you had a wife and you were the main breadwinner and you all had 700 grand in the bank the first year of marriage and you looked at the account today , after making a one thousand dollar purchase to find you were three thousand overdrawn? should she be upset that you caused three thousand in over drafts? or should you be upset that she went through the 700 thousand you had been able to save before your purchase (plus two grand)? |
