Yeah, but they say more women suffer from depression than men. Anything can cause it really, it's more about our ability to cope with hardships, and with there being and more and more hardships for more and more people, perhaps it's getting more difficult to find healthy ways to cope with it now a days. IDK

I think so too and generally women seem to find it harder to cope with. Me, I just do the same things as a guy; work more and work out. I stopped trying to analyze what I could have done differently; I just figure it wasn't meant to be and move on with my life. Mind you this has taken me years to get like this and I suppose having to spend most of my life being hard as nails has influenced the way I handle things.

I think 'falling in love' is the romanticized version of 'learning to love'

it sounds less romantic if there is any level of INTELLECT or reason being applied

it also refers more to how quickly the process takes, falling in love is usually the FAST version of learning to love

Relationships are easy to fall into, chemistry works and the feeling is electric. To maintain them requires work, quality time, and mutual respect. I believe a joint project or goal is ideal to focus on.
Most of us have taken great people for granted over our lives. That is sad. We have looked for things other than what is in our hearts. A real recipe for loneliness unless we learn.
In short most of us just want to love and be loved, the trick is how much effort are we prepared to put in?

That's a pretty selfless task. The older generations got it right. Even men folk believed in loving a woman unconditionally. Times have made it worse. Real peeps are dying off like the dinosaurs.

I hope you aren't referring to my generation as my generation is truly screwed up.

All that coke in the 80s really affected the generation boomers. :) I digress, I'm just serious.

Yep; makes you wonder where we went wrong. Hopefully the next generation does a better job than we did.
