Actually it is when someone who supposedly loves us causes us hurt, rejects us, and leaves us lonely, or in some other way causes damage to our heart by their selfish, thoughtless behavior that loves hurts us. If these things were done by someone in whom we had no love interest whatsoever, it would not hurt us one bit. So, yes, love does hurt and when we find someone who will cherish us and not act selfishly and show us how love is supposed to behave, then true love can make us feel wonderful again. JMHO |

So, yes, love does hurt and when we find someone who will cherish us and not act selfishly and show us how love is supposed to behave, then true love can make us feel wonderful again. JMHO Where's the logic in that? If someone who supposedly loves you does these things, they're not acting out of love, hence love isn't hurting/rejecting/upsetting/damaging you but their negative feelings (of the moment) are. Also don't agree that you can only get hurt/upset etc etc by people you love. Maybe it hurts just a little less, but even that is not a fact. If the people you do love, treat you with love, but the rest of the world treats you like s***, I think you'll end up feeling pretty worthless, rejected, hurt and so on and so forth. If your boss sacks you or gives a promotion to someone else, while you deserve it, you probably feel pretty bad, rejected, hurt, angry etc. I don't think people love their boss though. You will start to feel better once you're able to open your heart again and give and receive love. But if you feel love hurts, be my guest. No skin of my nose. I came across the picture and thought it was pretty profound. |

You will start to feel better once you're able to open your heart again and give and receive love. But if you feel love hurts, be my guest. No skin of my nose. I came across the picture and thought it was pretty profound. As I stated previously, which you obviously overlooked in your desire to have the last word, the thoughts I expressed were MY HUMBLE OPINION ONLY, therefore, need no redress from you. I am entitled to my opinions as you are yours, so leave it at that. Thank God we do not all think the same, it would be a dull world indeed! I am not influenced by your thoughts and neither should you allow my thoughts to affect you, for better or for worse. If someone else chooses to agree with you, let them. And vice versa, if someone chooses to agree with me, so be it, it does not involve you, and therefore, as correctly stated by you "It is no skin off your nose!!". Perhaps you should just allow people to disagree on certain topics and learn some respect for other people's opinions when they don't agree with yours and learn to accept what they feel because it is their right to feel that way. Lots of things are said and done in the name of "love" involving inconsiderate actions and statements which may later be of great regret to the individuals. They may even lose someone they loved because of their thoughtless behavior. It is a fact of life, whether you agree with it or not. Again JMHO!! |
