Which is the best way in your opinion to make an initial contact with someone of interest, a nudge or mail, and which do you prefer to receive when someone new contacts you?

Email, definitely. I usually ignore most nudges from strangers.

I agree with Singme. I ignore the nudges that do not come from people who post on the forums. Emails are alright as long as they contain something worth answering to.

Because so many people don't have much in their profiles, it's hard to see if I'm interested in someone at all just from a nudge. At least with an email, they have the chance to give me a little to go on to chat about.

Messages also take one effort.

I ignore nudges that come from strangers....unless we had one that says "Who the heck ARE you???" (That one would be used quite often) And emails that ask me what kind of man I am looking for, just shows me how little you actually looked at on my profile....or if you even did.
