In the best tradition of Bill Clinton's famous declaration that the answer to the question of whether or not he was having an affair with Monica depended on "what the definition of is is," Obama was clearly splitting hairs and concealing the truth when he said that William Ayers was "just a guy who lives in my neighborhood."
The records of the administration of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) released last week by the University of Illinois show that the Ayers-Obama connection was, in fact, an intimate collaboration and that it led to the only executive or administrative experience in Obama's life.

After Walter Annenberg's foundation offered several hundred million dollars to American public schools in the mid-'90s, William Ayers applied for $50 million for Chicago. The purpose of his application was to secure funds to "raise political consciousness" in Chicago's public schools.
After he won the grant, Ayers' group chose Barack Obama to distribute the money. Between 1995 and 1999, Obama distributed the $50 million and raised another $60 million from other civic groups to augment it. In doing so, he was following Ayers' admonition to grant the funds to "external" organizations, like American Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), to pair with schools and conduct programs to radicalize the students and politicize them.

Reading, math and science achievement tests counted for little in the ACA grants, but the school's success in preaching a radical political agenda determined how much money it got.

Barack Obama should have run screaming at the sight of Ayers and his wife, Bernadette Dohrn. Ayers has admitted bombing the U.S. Capitol building and the Pentagon, and his wife was sent to prison for failing to cooperate in solving the robbery of a Brink's armored car in which two police were killed. Far from remorse, Ayers told The New York Times, in September 2001, that he "wished he could have done more." Ayers only avoided conviction when the evidence against him turned out to be contained in illegally obtained wiretaps by the FBI. He was, in fact, guilty as sin.

That Obama should ally himself with Ayers is almost beyond understanding. The former terrorist had not repented his views, and the education grants he got were expressly designed to further them.

Obama was brought up in the gangland political way and also the Democratic Parties style of politics.

You have to remember the Democrats have had very long and strong ties to some of the most vicious criminals in history. They have strong ties to the DNC helping JFK push to victory in the 60's, Chicago Mob Boss, Sam Giancana and Florida Mob Boss Santo Trafficante Jr. had unrestricted access to President Kennedy on several occasions in the plotting to kill Castro.

Then look at Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and Aldermann Solos's giving Mobsters awards like Angelo J. "The Hook" LaPietra, a made member and leader in the Chicago Outfit (A member of the Commission). Daley and Solos presented LaPietra a plaque and reward for his leadership and commitment to the community. It recognized Angelo and the Italian Club as a decision maker and a go-to person when decisions needed to have an influence. LaPietra was given the nickname "The Hook" due to the way he murdered his victims. He would take his victim—bound and gagged—and hang him on a meat hook, (piercing the victim's rib cage with the meat hook) and then torture him to death with a blow-torch.

This is the way Barry was taught to do bisiness and the type of people Barry was taught it was right to do business with. These people make Ayers look like an amateur. Not to mention The Outfit connected Rezko (A close Obama friend) and also Saddam's former Arms Dealer (Who happened to be friends with Obama and help finance his real estate transaction)

The Democrats and the Chicago Gang Land Politics Barry was brought up in is sure Change we CAN'T believe in!

while OBAMA was a director at CAC, they offered a grant and Ayers proposal won the grant


THEN the CAC rewarded and distributed the grant

and, OBAMA being a part of the CAC is therefore AYERS best friend,,,??

my own mother worked on boards and committees with others for years that she personally didnt LIKE at all but who were good at their jobs,,,and Im sure thats pretty standard in any occupation

and I and most I know have worked closely with people we had no personal close connection to outside of our jobs

He seems like quite the MAN to me because of how he carries himself, how he has been committed to his wife, and how his children have turned out so far. That some feel his 'manhood' is at question because he happened to work towards a high office in which he doesnt do everything THEY want him to do,,,is a personal issue seems to me.

What 'mistakes' have the past presidents 'owned up' to that this president deserves such special scrutiny for focusing on strengths?

people arent placed in jail for knowing people 22years after they have been charged for a crime in which CHARGES ARE DROPPED

its also not illegal to hold a fundraiser at a private citizens home

people in Chicago, apparently, didnt care about what a man had done 22 years earlier as much as what he did for their CITY at THAT TIME

so AT THAT TIME, the 'association' with Ayers would also not have been seen as a negative


He got no 'pass' , he represented intelligence and community minded leadership

2008 was a win for Obama, partly because of his own words and intelligence and vision, and partly because of the failed strategy of his opponent

I dont assume, in distributing grant money to schools, there was alot of talk about Ayers history or feelings from TWO decades before when barack was only EIGHT YEARS OLD
