Hello all.
Have you ever compiled a list of things to do before you die?
i find it gives focus and you get more done.
Furthermore i find that what people want to do reflects their character.
i will go first, naturally.
i have always wanted to swim with sharks
learn to potter
kite surf
learn to sing
run a marathon
learn to knit
learn to ride a motorbike,
hot air balloon.
the list is endless more me. :) any thoughts or feelings of making lists to remind yourselves of your own mortality?

Hmm, I want to sail around the world. Always have and always will. There is nothing like being a humble little speck out on the formidable ocean, knowing that death is a distinct possibility if you mess up. Come close when sailing several times too.

I honestly can't think of anything that I really want to do on my bucket list. The military gave me the opportunity to do all the things I ever wanted to do.

Lists are for the kids who make lists.....

Life is for the people who just live.

A couple of months ago when I had to face reality that my son might not live too much longer I felt "bad" for him..We had a talk about it. I said that I was sorry that he never had a chance to get married or have kids of his own. (He loved children.)...I brought up some of his other goals and dreams in life that always meant so much to him. (And cried and cried.)...He surprised me and stayed pretty calm about all of it. He had a sense of "peace" that I didn't have at the time...He thanked me for caring and told me not to "feel bad." He said he felt like he had a great life and the best Mom in the whole world!.. And he thanked me for my love and friendship and my "belief" in him and my ongoing support all during his life...He said he had reached one major goal! He had just turned 40...His brother (my older son) passed away when he was 37...Anyway my son had "peace" about all he accomplished in this life. And this makes me feel "good" and very proud of him!...I know he's "smiling down" at me right now. And I'm glad he's reunited with his brother and his 2 dads and grandparents and other loved ones "up above" now. But I sure do miss him!

I have done many of the things on your bucket list - of them all I highly recommend learning to sing- it's so fun - a great release - and makes going to church bearable, if that's possible

my bucket list is fluid rather than a set list and includes things I have done before....that I love, but have not been able to do for a long while such as walking on the beach at sunset, hiking in the mountains, a good campfire with beer & stories, and yes, sexlaugh
