I had this dream. I was at the house I grew up in. I was in the back yard. I was hunting some kind of small animal, I think it was cats, but I can't remember. Anyway, I was shooting these animals, and then all of a sudden I realized that I was shooting at my own cat, so I stopped and ran over to get my cat, there were about three or four dead creatures scattered. All of a sudden this huge bird like creature swoops down from the sky and starts eating the dead bodies. I tried to scare it away, but it was fearless.
I then had another dream that I was in a prison and there were four inmates surrounding me, well I won't go into any more detail about that, but then I was running from them, and the prison turned into a hospital type of place, with winding hallways and dark stairways and all these doors. I was running in circles on this one floor, then I saw the elevator, I ran to get inside, and there was a dead body, and a large inmate in the elevator, so I ran and found the stairs, I started climbing up, then a door opened and a black man came in from the outside. He was talking to me, but I couldn't understand him, he had a thick accent. As he was talking, I was climbing down the stairs and my back was facing him. That's all I remember. |

There seems to be a "death" theme running through both dreams. Not sure what that means though.

Here is one interpetation of your dream.
To dream that you are hunting suggests that you are seeking or pursuing some inner desire, either emotional or physical. You may be "hunting" for a solution or for a sexual conquest. To dream that you hunt and kill an animal signifies that you are trying to repress or destroy an instinctive part of yourself. To dream that you are being hunted indicates that you are being overwhelmed by life's challenges. Go to this link. http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamdictionary/h3.htm I have found it quite interesting to look up my dreams here. |

I think it's that I know I will some day lose my cat, and I know I will miss him. We've been best friends for so long, and I know he's at the end of his road and we will part ways soon. |

Oh he has, that's the thing. He's over 14 years old, so I know he won't be around much longer. He couldn't have asked for a much better life though.

I worry about mine, too. He turned 9 in May. He's a fat Maine Coon that barely gets any exercise! We feed him Friskies and the like. It's all full of animal byproducts! *sigh* :(

I've always fed my cats Purina brands and they have lived long and healthy lives.
