Then how can you respect it? Why should you? If government is essentially a criminal organization then why pay taxes to them? Why obey their rules if they are above their own laws? Why cooperate at all? The only reason is because you are under their threat to do so. |

name a government with no corruption, and Ill show you someones fantasy
show me a house that is NEVER divided, and Ill show you someones fantasy its not those 'negatives' that define how worthy of respect a government or house is its whats done about them governments have corruption because PEOPLE are corruptible and PEOPLE will continue to be corruptible whether they are part of governments or part of citizenry we dont throw out the baby with the bath water, order is necessary and is not our ENEMY... and maintaining a balance of order and freedom amongst hundreds of millions will never be a cakewalk,,,, |

ALL government is corrupt. Man is can not properly handle such power and responsibility in a pure fashion. People eventually give in to their pride and greed and will corrupt the system, or the system will corrupt them.

IDK, but i do know getting rid of the incumbents is the best start... if anything, it sends a message... |

It's at least something, but I don't think it will send a message any more than the death penalty does for murder. People are always going to be corrupt, maybe it's not the people we should be trying to purify, but the system itself. IDK

Whenever you point a finger at a corrupt politician, three fingers are pointed back at you. |

People are always going to be corrupt, maybe it's not the people we should be trying to purify, but the system itself. IDK the only way to change the system is to put people that you know/hope have the balls to do it... i do not think a rebellion or not paying taxes is the answer, it will only lead to more of a totalitarian government... |

But, if people run the system the same as the last, they would be prone to corruption as well. What needs to change is the system itself. Not a rebellion or refusal to pay taxes, maybe not even a new system, but changes that would prevent corruption.
Better checks and balances, that actually work and can not be overridden. Separation of business and government. |

Separation of business and government. i agree, but i think the only way that will happen is to vote the incumbents out... I just don't see it happening with the same ole people and things going on now... When the corporations run the senate and the president, we have no chance of ever being that way... 2 things that i think would help- no more lobbing, a term limit on the senate... |

Voting one incumbent out only opens the door for the next corrupt replacement.
They (The corporations) never give us a good choice. They don't let us elect our own candidate. They only give us two of the same club. There is no lesser of the two evils. They are both working for the corporations. My question is, if they are clearly corrupt, then why should the people respect them? Why should we live by their "rules" when they don't live by their own rules? It would be like sitting down to a card game with three people you KNOW are cheaters, and playing honestly, and forever loosing your money to them. The only answer is to either play their own corrupt game (cheat) or not play with them at all. Meaning, don't let them take your money. Don't play their game when they cheat and expect you to be honest. |

Our Constitution intended serving to be a civic duty. Upon completion of your term, you returned to your trade or profession. You did not spend twenty years in congress, or go from attorney general, to govenor, to representative, etc.
The longer someone is in office, the more entrenched in power they become. We all are under duress to do our civic duty to pay taxes. Sh*& will hit the fan in due time- there is not a lot we can do about it unless half of our country dies for the cause- too many sheeple here Have a nice day! |

It's like when taking care of a swimming pool, you can skim, sweep, and cover it, but that doesn't stop it from getting dirty or even clean it completely, sometimes the water itself needs to be changed, and even then there can still be issues.
Much like how in government we can put in checks and balances vote in honest politicians, etc. but the government itself is still corrupt. We can change the whole government, but it may be replaced by another corrupt system. We can't just accept things as they are nor can we accept that it's inevitable to be corrupt. We have to at least try to purify the system in some way. |

Which is not as bad as three fingers. |

What's the alternative? Anarchy won't be an idyllic system whereby the world will be like the cover of a 'Watchtower' magazine. Is Communism incorruptible? Absolutism? Fascism?
Democracy is not the best form of government, but it's the best we have, and no-one has ever put forward a better alternative. If you don't like your government don't moan about it on internet fora. Get out and vote for change; write to your congressman; lobby for transparency in government. Change starts with you. |

This government is slidng down a slippery slope to a corporat dictatorship. I have a feeling that it is too late and too far gone for "voting" or "writing to a congressman." Those seem like pointless gestures at this stage of the game. |

I am beginning to understand the over all mindset of government though. Its all just business. Business is business. |
|
|
|
I think if people could learn how the Elite Banksters think of them as pawns and consumers, they would understand their mindset.
They know we have feelings and are emotional beings. (They are not. They are more like psychopaths.) So they manipulate us with emotional diatribe. Its always about the innocent women and children, and terrorists blah blah blah. If you let yourself be manipulated you will be reacting just the way they want you to react. You go to war for their business, and you will send your children to war for them. And for them, its just about business. To you, its about "saving the women and children blah blah." Keep this in mind. For them, its just business. They don't care about you or the women and children. |
