Topic: Fifty Years

Fifty Years The sun fiercely fought the darkness until every inch of the room was filled with its light I couldn’t pretend any longer and unfortunately neither could my bladder so I slowly and with great effort swung my legs over the side of the bed I had to sit there for a moment to loosen my joints and allow the night’s aches to crack and pop their way to freedom I finally stand and it hits me, I think we need a new mattress so I turn to look at my lovely wife and before I could say anything my darling wife of fifty years says “Shut up Earl, we just bought a new one a month ago. You’re old ok, get over it”

Oh Mig!...I heard a million of these from my parents ... They enjoyed 67 years of wedded bliss..This made me laugh and cry all at the same time...I really miss daddy!!!...TY!

You draw such vivid picture's and take on journeys no matter how big or small, always a pleasure to go to your movies,

Wow, you all are truly making me feel as if I actually can write. I always think that my poems are probably half as good as they could be. I drive Laura329 crazy most of the time because I keep telling her how I feel when it comes to writing. I truly truly truly thank each of you for your kind words.

You draw such vivid picture's and take on journeys no matter how big or small, always a pleasure to go to your movies, And poppa . . . you know, one day I may actually write a movie script.
