There's a lot of excellent straight to video stuff, at least in terms of horror. Now straight to DVD...that's something different- I think there's a lot more crap getting released because of today's technology anyone can make a movie, edit at home, and get it released online. So just because its straight-to-DVD doesn't make it crap? Funny, I thought it the other way around. I am so tired of the crap now released on the big screen. Yeah we'll get the occasional indie flick released every 6 months, but its not enough. When I was working in the theaters, we had all the good quality horror/sci-fi/scary shite at our beck and call. Now, you have to get imports to check out what's good. America seems to recycle a lot of European and Asian concepts. Not to mention remake everything Craven, Cronenberg and Carpenter made. I wish there was good horror in the theaters again. Sorry, getting so deep. lol Maybe its my way of saying I wanna see them on the big screen AND I miss fall. I just want Halloween to start already! And just because it's released in the cinemas isn't a guarantee it'll be good. Some films play the festivals, and if there's enough interest they'll get a theatrical release. Hollywood is afraid of change- that's why you get all of the countless sequels and reboots. Some good movies do make it on the big screen, but I'm finding the more original stuff is going to DVD because they don't have the big studios breathing down their necks, and they have more freedom to make the movies they want. Watch your local papers, or find Indie theaters in your area (none of the franchise theaters)online- a lot of times they'll play the indie stuff, and even the older horror films. I got to see Battle Royale on the big screen when it was making it's American circuit a few months ago. Especially check around October as some will air horror flicks then. I once went to a beach festival with some friends and loved it! Hardly any of those exist anymore. Maybe once in a blue moon. For the shoe-string budgets released on DVD, I'll give it a go until something cool pops up near me. I prefer it released in the big screens but $100 million flicks need that space more. lol I like those indie theaters. I wish LA had the drive-ins. I'd never been to one before. I always wanted to go to the ones in the Bay area when I visited there some years ago. I love that they still have chit like that still. One day I'll just up and go. I seriously can't wait for October! My love for horror will be alive again.

damn I don't know how many times I've pressed back on my phone and deleted everything I'm trying to say but here it goes
I believe in mankind but I believe we have to change to remain here on earth. I feel as though I've been every living thing ever to have lived before I was thrust into the life of an average man.I feel connected to everything in a way that many can't understand...many never will. What I've been tryin to expain for the past 2 hours is thr truth. Truth is what it is,its the present the here and now. The future and past aren't true,they do not exist. The future cannot exist until it becomes the present,the past only exists inn your head,so its not real,the truth has no meaning but truth,it cannot be anything but the truth. Its hard to explain but if you can even start thinking about it its already there inside your mind. Its like....a bird Birds know about the things that are important only to live and survive. They do not wonder about why thing are the way they are. They live to live, all animals are the truth. We need to be less mind And more spirit. The less mind,the better. The mind gets in thr way moreoften than not. When your nervous,or sad or even angry you are in the mind. Your not living the truth when you worry about tomotow,your not really living. All you have to do is open your mind to all energys,good and bad,and then you'll see. The universe is about balance,yin and yang,night and day,the good and bad ect... The need to become more spiritual is stronger than ever. I strongly urge you to visit "thetruthcontest.com"(the pesent)read it and learn to live the truth(present). And never have to think of the paast,a lot has happend but the only easy way to live is to be what your supposed to be,do the right thing the real truth is doing the good and accepting the bad,try not thiking about any thing how long can you live in the present w/out themind. Its very ifficult but if you can train your mind notto think,less active or kind of shut down(what have you)then you are already close to learning the truth. Ask yoursef,whattt is it that hears my thoughts. You could say its your spiritual self,the key to living thetruth is accepting the truth in everything that you do.
