Think back to previous relationships. When love for that person has gone, what feeling replaces it? Of course everybodies idea of love is different & all relationships have different dynamics, but that 'lost love' feeling, are there words to describe it?

I try to be friendly with exes, but I don't really think about them often.

no...just the pitt in the stomach that only time can eventually take away A long long time ago - 1994 - she left me along with my 1.5yr old son...it's called a broken heart but all is well now |

Hmm, when the feeling of love was gone, I'd say sadness. Hating the quiet, the empty feeling in a room. Missing a lot of little things, even a touch or the sound of their voice. But eventually that goes away, and you can move on maybe. |

I haven't lost anyone really close to me - maybe my grandparents, but I was so young that I barely remember but I know it will happen sooner or later.
That is why I am doing all I can to research aging...hopefully I can extend our lifespan long enough for technology to catch up. If the brain can be mapped and our memory data can be stored on a chip, from then on, I no longer need to worry. |

So we have sadness, emptiness, pain, motivation to extend life, the pits and for me grief, regrets and deep anguish, a questioning of my beliefs and new love in the form of children :-)

I said pain cuz when I am in love I am truly in love and don't want it to end. Haven't found anyone the same way.

I try to be friendly with exes, but I don't really think about them often. I'm sorry that happened to you. There is someone I wonder about. He did the disappearing act and I never heard from him again, so there was no closure. There is no anger or hate, but I do wonder what happened. |

You know, one past relationship I had ended with me asking, "WTF"? I mean, it was so odd how she ended it. She just broke off contact and then (like four days later) she texts me and states, "I guess we are no more? Well, I really loved you and good luck". That was the last I heard from her. Lol. So, this one ended in confusion.

I blame his 'disappearance' on aliens myself JK. I have a cousin that has disappeared, for real. He was a truck driver in Australia. The police told him to pull over and sleep, they found his truck, (mobile & wallet still there) but not him, ever.

So, this one ended in confusion. That's not confusing. She ended things on HER terms. There had to have been a reason behind it. Clearly she didn't wanna tell you. |

I try my best not to give them any thought....what's the point?
Second guess a past we can't change with 20/20 hindsight? I am generaly indifferent. Only one that I ain't ever gonna get along with. |

My feelings just fade with the memories, and there is no feeling after love with me. I don't fall out of love, it's more of a fade to nothing. I don't dwell or hang onto what's go, I accept it and move on. |
