Is it just me or is The Goonies one of the funniest and best films ever made, i'm still only young (18) but this has been one of my favourite films ever since I was little. I can recite every line from the film!

Filmed in Oregon:
Sloth: Mama! Mama Fratelli: Come to mama Slothy, come on hmm? Sloth: Mama, you've been bad. Mama Fratelli: Oh, Slothy. I may have been bad. I may have kept you chained up in that room but it was for your own good. Sloth: Yeah! Mama Fratelli: You remember that song I used to sing to you? Sloth: Yeah! Mama Fratelli: You were little back then? [singing] Mama Fratelli: Rock-a-bye baby on the tree top. When the wind blows the cradle will rock. When the bough breaks the cradle will fall... Sloth: Break! Fall! Mama Fratelli: No! I only dropped once. Sloth: Ahh! Mama Fratelli: Well, maybe twice. No Sloth! Put me down! |

Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, and being fairly close to the age of 'the Goonies' when seeing it on the big screen, this is definitely one of those films I connected to.
There's been rumors since the 80's of a Goonies II, and within the last few years Donner has talked about bringing back the cast, now adults and having their kids going on a Goonie adventure. |

I agree blueeyes, it's one of my favourite films, and that's one of the most recognizable lines from the movie!
How about a Baby Ruth? ;) |

Anne Ramsey, what a great lady she was. She was perfection as an actor...married to another famous actor also, although his name escapes me at the moment. |

I've heard rumours of a sequel, but I don't think it would work. They should just stay with the first film and leave it alone as the classic it is :)
All my friends tell me i'm like the character Mouth haha |

Always very nostalgic for me.
Definitely a timeless classic that every generation can relate to. Very rare when a film like this comes along. Kudos to Donner & Speilberg. |

It's funny when you go back and watch some sitcoms from the 70's, like Laverne & Shirley, you'll see Anne pop up as an extra, sometimes with no line, but definitely not forgettable. |

I love the scene where Sloth rips open his shirt to reveal his Superman tshirt.
"We're in deep s--t now, Francis!" |
