Sorry, but these links don't change my original thoughts on this. If the President is authorising the killing of Al-Quaeda members and supporters, be they US citizens or not, good for him I say. WTC, Kenya, Tanzania, the USS Cole, Bali, Madrid etc....the world will be a safer place without these thugs.

You accuse Obama of acting like a King, but you know this is rhetoric. You know that a republican dominated congress will block any measure he introduces to the assembly, so, he has to look for alternative methods of introducing legislation (albeit legal) in order to break the impasse. This is all part of the game. The opposition will block as many measures as possible while holding the majority, to blacken the image of the incumbent President. Then they can go to the polls with a perceived advantage, and ride on the ineffective tenure of the Democrat President.

I know I'll be unpopular for stating this, but I feel for the guy. He came into office just after the GFC hit and bailed out corporations and companies in order to stop wholesale job losses, thus preventing a depression previously unknown in scale. Furthermore, he prosecutes unpopular wars on two fronts that were started by an earlier POTUS, which cannot be fully wound up until stability is restored in the affected countries-despite his election promises. He is trying to introduce a fairer health system for your nation, only to be labelled a Communist, or a Socialist. You pay less taxes than many other democratic nations and yet you are unwilling to contribute (in a small way) to making your nation better for all concerned.

Now, ask yourselves, is Obama holding your nation back? Or the people?

I don't pine for the halcyon days of my youth when doors were never locked and neighbors looked out for each other, but I do worry about party division...It has never been worse...The POTUS did not initiate this but the buck stops at the Oval Office...A leader should unite, not divide...
It's not that Obama acts like a king, it's that he acts like a country unto himself and, during his first year in office, he acted this way at the speed of light...This only served to anger a people who months earlier had not only embraced his promise for "change" they hungered for it!...He made them believe...Now they feel betrayed...That's what is going on in my country Hotrod...
To say that congress is nothing more than a game, a partisan "test of wills" is wrong and only serves to add fuel to the fire...The battle between the parties is a given, it did not start with Obama and will not end when he leaves office...The dysfunction, the partisan division has been growing since the early 90's...Obama's win in '08 combined with the Dem's gains in both houses should have served to calm the waters...It only "served" to turn a gap into a chasm....
Obama's "imprssive" list of major legislative accomplishments, passed after drawn out, contentious, partison "free for alls" left most Americans unhappy..Was that Obama's goal?...After this "too quick" sweep that left a lot of dirt on the floor one has no choice but to question his motive....
So now nearly four years later, facing an election that could make or break us, what are we left with?...Unparalleled debt, solutions proposed but ignored, sitting at an impass while the country sinks deeper and deeper, inches closer and closer toward default...
To summarize, we are left with warfare!...Warfare over two major policies, healthcare reform and financial regs, no "real" action on climate change or jobs or THE CONTINUING mortgage crisis, trade deals sitting like sleeping ducks in the water, and terriorism alive, well, thriving(????)....
I don't think the people are holding my nation back, I think they are just scared, confused, and frustrated...And you are right to criticize the BS!....The battle between parties should be fair, no need for propaganda like "kill lists"... Let Obama's "accomplishments" speak for themselves......
