Topic: I think I found my career, now what? | |
---|---|
So, I think I finally figured out what I want to do with my life (career wise at least). I'm thinking of becoming an online marketing recruiter, getting people into marketing programs that work best for them, and training them in the areas they are best suited for.
What kind of college degrees should I get? I was thinking of getting an associates in business management and marketing? Should I ask SCORE? What questions should I ask them, and what kind of professionals should I talk to? Any help in going in the right direction would be much appreciated. |

Best wishes on your career choice. Sorry I have no advice..but talk to local school counseler. Start searching for fsfa/grant info early. It takes a long time to get it all together

I already have a FAFSA account and student loans. I'm just not exactly sure where to go, what degrees to go for. I was thinking business management and marketing.
IDK, I'm too old to just wing it and hope for the best anymore, but don't know where to go either. |

Sounds like good degrees. I would try to get advice from someone already in the field. Make sure there is work in that market. I went healthcare since I knew finding work would be easy no matter where I go

There's work. No matter what the economy is, companies will be selling things and looking for people to sell their products. They're also going to be looking for people to recruit and train sales people, that's what I want to do.

Look into interning in that field so you know how to get started

Business and marketing degree sounds like the best option. Although it may be different over there so don't take my advice.
I'm glad you've reached this point your life. It took me a few years too but I got their in the end. If all else fails, I'm sure you would get a job any day as a counselor ![]() |

There is a National Direct Marketing Association I think I would get in touch with them and see what they recommend. I have seen their magazines. Most colleges offer any number of marketing degrees but some of the best sales training exists with in the companies. AVON Mary Kay, Tupperware, Shacklee are a few that come to mind but I am sure there are a variety of groups arond specific products or services such as the insurance industry. manufactured homes. furniture, home furnishings, jewery or collectables.
Good Luck. |

Good Luck. I am an executive affiliate at SFI, and they have all kinds of training and resources that I have been studying. I'll look into NDMA though, TY. |
