I just took a short nap.. Woke up this morning with sore neck and upper back muscles so I took a pain pill and went to bed.. Shoulder is still sore but feeling much better now.. Time to make 3 batches of peanut butter fudge and then clean up the kitchen.. Maybe dip my buckeyes tonight... 18 windchill today and windy, just a dusting of snow but I bet the roads and bridges were icy last night..

Good morning, everyone! This is my first post on this forum, even though I've been on Mingle for a few years. Someone told me to check this area out, a while back. So here I am... I've read a few threads, got a few chuckles out of them, and see that this place can get busy at times. Cool! I have noticed one thing, though. However, I don't want to come off as an expert in "Word Etiquette", but what's up with someone over 50, typing and spelling like they were in the second grade? Is that 'puter lingo, or what?? lol jmo Anyhow, I hope everyone's ready for the Holidays, and I hope they are very enjoyable for all of you! Oh, and as far as the weather situation goes for me today...it might hit 80 today. lol We pay for this weather, though. Last summer it was over 110 degrees for almost a solid month! Over 100 degrees for three months! If you can survive those three months from Hell, Phoenix is a paradise in the winter...

As for people over 50 writing and talking like second graders, we hold to no etiquette here except to be ourselves and hurt no ones feelings. We come from different parts of the world and we all speak differently. We communicate as our own dialect indicates. In other wards, we write as we speak. We also take artistic license with our vocabulary..after all... we are of advanced age and who give a chit anyway?? Our main goal here is to be friends and enjoy each others friendship, not to be proper and uptight... So..having said that..welcome. Let your playful side come out and be our friend!
