They have been in political control in the West Bank since the OSLO
accords. The Israelis do not govern them at all. Of course Hamas has
been in control of Gaza strip since they siezed power after the
Israelis pulled their remaining people out too.

Israeli authority is limited to security checkpoints solely for the
purpose of preventing terrorist attacks. There is nothing preventing
the Palestinians from ceasing their hatred and attacks and focusing
on their own well being and economy while ignoring Israel.

It's not funny but the PA has misused their autonomy to foster and
educate hatred of Jews and Israelis and have repeatedly failed to
take steps to arrest the significant terrorist groups operating
from lands under their administration.

Unfortunately Gaza was siezed by the vile terrorist organization
Hamas although they are clearly under Palestinian control they are
a Taliban like Al-Qaeda like extremist Islamic fundamentalist
thuggery even worse than the Palestinian Authority. Their charter
denies the right of existence of Israel and they promote attacks
on innocent men, women and children. Hamas openly advocates
ethnic cleansing of Jews.

No one "gave" someone else's land to the Jewish settlers in the

the Mideast and in Europe emigrated to join Jews already in Israel
