Yes eating of my dime is a privilege.I worked at a grocer for 3 years in high-school and people with food stamps typically topped $400 in food. They were the only people I saw filling 2 carts and most of it is junk food. I easily feed myself on $50 a week and that includes about $80 in protein powder a month Anyone else notice the welfare people are never thin? Hell, most people begging for money on the side of the road are bigger than me. this doesnt say much chaz have you noticed most AMERICANS are on the road to bigger,,? I have worked in the housing authority for the past year, and I have not seen at all a discrepancy amongst the recipients compared to the general population,, actually, my observation is they seem to be more likely to be thin and malnourished,,,, as a child, do you think you should have or could have grown and functioned off of mere 'protein powder' children are not adults, their needs are a bit more complex, and because a grown up can live off of less, doesnt mean children were meant to,,,, think about it further, 50 a week for just YOU with mostly protein powder comes to 200 a month so a FAMILY of four gets 400 a month and thats what? unfair? unacceptable? too much? |

I in no way said they should have protein powder. I said my food and protein, which protein is expensive and not necessary, is still only $50 a week. Hey if people can pay for their own food and be fat that is fine. If you are on welfare and fat you obviously are getting too much money. |

I easily saw them spend 300-400 and that was back in 2000. That is necessary. That was in only 1 trip as well. |

Anyway you are apparently disagreeing that overweight people eat too much. 'too much' by what standard some people are overweight because they dont eat 'enough' of the right foods some are overweight because they fluxuate between eating too little and eating too much , which obstructs their metabolism some perfectly fit people eat MUCH MORE Than some obese people its not about the 'quantity of food' its about the quality of the food and the balance of activity and healthy calories,,, |

No one is overweight from eating too little. Your body can't magically add mass. I can 2600 calories of healthy food or 2600 of junk food and put on the same weight. |

Go over to bodybuilding.com. plenty of people lose weight and build muscle with junk food. Just typically you can eat more with healthy food but calories are calories. $100 in food per person per month is not a small amount, especially if you cook at home. Eggs and toast for breakfast? You are looking at like. 50 cents a day. CHICKEN breast can be bought extremely cheap 1-2 dollars a pound. Rice is fairly enexpensive as well. Canned veggies are cheap, making sandwiches for lunch is cheap. Before my gf came I was eating to gain weight and drinking 2 gallons of milk a week and spending usually around $30 a week on food while not even cooking. But as anyone with a family knows, it's cheaper per person the more people you have because you can buy in bulk. |

a family of four cannot eat off of one young man does,,, fatness and protein have nothing to do with the cost of FEEDING A FAMILY,,,, what one needs to eat healthy is still not going to be covered for 100 dollars per month I can afford to spend as much as I want to on food. Growing my own food all year long, I will likely spend less than $200.00/month on food for my family before too much longer. This is because my garage, in just over 32 square feet will have 144 square feet of gardening area in 3 vertical gardens. 1 array will be exclusively tobacco, and the remaining 2 will be for food, with minimal effort. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.420173988001847.99962.100000277474789&type=3 |

Well, if Hussein doesn't complain and no other politician speaks up, let the testing begin.
Gonna' shoot a note off to Barry and ask him to consider dropping those UC Welfare extensions also. He won't need the votes now he's liberated the Illegals. |

The food you saw those people buying had to last them for one whole month. They may have bought that much at one time because they got a ride or cab to the store. You feed yourself on $50/month? I haven't been able to do that since the early 80's and I buy bargain shop. |

Also, when you don't eat enough, you're body holds onto the weight even harder because it thinks that you're starving it. I have to watch out for that one. |

yes, eating is a privilege, shelter is a privilege, healthcare is a privilege,,,,, Eating is a privlege. Stop eating for a month or so then, and let us know how that works for you. We're not supposed to be a 3rd world country, and are passively allowing what should be our own government, degrade us. The constitutional argument is valid and assumes innocent until proven guilty and denies due process. My mother was on welfare and hud (section 8) for the longest time, before we were used to degrade welfare recipients. She never used drugs in her entire life, and did her best to take care of me. I was the one on drugs in my mid teens, not her. I don't watch television and as a result have no real connection to what the lemmings are being taught to think, but in effect, I can only assume there's quite a bit of discussion about welfare fraud, and little thinking outside the Tel-Lie-Vision. Get outside that box, and do your own homework and your own thinking. Study the flow of drugs from where they are manufactured, and based on location, theorize some more. I for one have given serious thought to sprinkling opium poppy seeds all over the city, state, and federal properties, so that when they grow into full opium rich bulbs, I can say, "I put them there as a deterrent to bombing Afghanistan and Iraq for opium". South America is a source of another drug. I'll let you do your homework on that one. This particular drug hits close to home for me, unfortunately. |

This is without trying to same money as I make good money. When I was in college I ate cheaper lol. |

I must have typed that late. It's "your body" not "you're body". It's a myth? Then tell my doctor that and tell my kid's health teacher that. Our bodies do go through that stage. I've even experienced it. |
