Every religious person is a non-believer in every religion except for the latest one they have latched on to,
so it is difficult to understand this extreme hatred, but ignorance does come into play :(

I think many, many people are so easily controlled with fear, along with such a need for comfort (even if that comfort is imaginary),
that logic, truth and reason take a distant second place to these emotions...

I guess only time will tell who wins.... religion or mankind !!!

Is a pitty the world has resulted to hatred and fighting over such a matter. I know there was the Christian Crusades, but nevertheless the crusades are not supported by the belief in itself. But Christianity does not spread hatred or fighting as you claim. I know your comment was in a general aspect of "religion", just speaking of that religious belief of Christianity.

There is no fear in Christianity either. It's not an obey me or die kind of set up. Jesus just offers eternal life. It's not a disobey me and loose eternal life. It's love me and possibly obtain eternal life. And Christianity spreads nothing but love, even down to "love thy enemies" and "love your neighbor as thyself".

My dear brothers i believe in mankind over religion because its man who created religions and not the other way round.Every religion more or less teaches the same set of principles to live life and to care for our other brothers and sister. Religion is nowadays used by few people to bring about hatred and war no religion says so to have war. Its time we stopped blaming religions for our and other human's greed and satisfaction ,its time we stopped using religions as a barrier between us all sons and daughters of God and unite agaist those who use religion for their petty wants.Every religion says there is one god and the biggest religion of all or the one ation of ours that pleases god is our love for other human beings and help the needy.The day we all forget our differences and live as one big happy family that day will be the most happiest day for god and all humans will be united under the common religion or banner called Humanity

Religion is not a godly thing, per say.

The chaos in the World today is not ordained of God.

It is the result of the wickedness of man's heart and his evil devices.

Men bypass the will of Almighty God to establish their OWN power and control.

God gets left out of virtually every scenerio.

True religion is to know the TRUE & LIVING God, to seek HIS Will and be commissioned by HIM.

I would go further as to say hatred and fighting existed long before books and the bible and will exist long after,, most hatred and fighting from then til now has to do with greed and power

wanting more and more for 'ourself' and wanting others to accomodate what we want,,,,

I am religious and not at all a non believer in all religions,, in fact, as a result of the religion I am part of and the ability to use LOGIC, I see many more similarities between MOST religions than I do differences,,,

Mankind created religions,mankind created God(s),mankind believes in what it created so i guess mankind won.

What are you talking about? It's not about winning or loosing, being right or being wrong. It's about serving our ever loving God. There is nothing to "win" by serving God. It's not done to promote oneself, not to gain anything for oneself. It's to love God and love the world.

Nobodies pushing anything. This is a "religion" forum. Religions usually consist of "God(s)". No one's pushing anything, merely sharing their belief on the subject. If he is not your "God", then you would not be included in the "our". It would be referring to those that bow down to our God.
