I'm kind of a DC junkie (just sold a copy of Batman #21 from 1943), and, yes they have done nothing but screw up continuity since Crisis in 1985. Zero Hour was supposed to fix it, but all it really did was kill off three of their 1940s characters (Dr. Mid-Nite, Atom, and Hourman), and Geoff Johns brought Hourman back a few years later in JSA anyway.

The one I REALLY feel bad for is Hawkman, the poor guys has 27 different origins and 23 internally inconsistent backstories.

And Infinite Crisis? Pfffffffft. Sure, kill off the guy who MADE the comic book industry. Yeah, he's redundant, OK.

But I love Booster and I hope the new series does well....

I have a friend who owns a comic shop, and he says the monthlies are selling poorly, for the most part -- he does better with the trade paperback collections. Says his whole business is built on toy sales now, though....

If you put Popeye and Bluto in a padded cell together do you think they'd get in a fight or do body shots of spinach?

Amazing Spider-man is just classic, been reading it for a couple of months now. Knox, I'm surprised to hear you didn't like the civil war series, I just picked it up and I can't get enough of it. It kinda makes you think, which side would you be on?

Hey, Roland,

I said the Civil War series was OK. I'm not crazy about the aftermath, known as "The Initiative". It's like reading the same book over and over, just with different characters diong the same thing.

Actually, if I had to vote, I'd have voted against the registration.

Joshy,

The Exiles are still around, tho in my opinion, most of the good characters are gone(the Morph appearing now is a villian-Proteus-who thinks he's Morph, long story). And now, the series is being written by, in my opinon, the most confusing writer in comics, Chris Claremont. His run on Fantastic Four, circa 1998,still gives me a headache just thinking about it. He should realize that sometimes less is more, and not throw everything, INCLUDING the kitchen sink, into every story he writes.
