When the constitution is interpreted to infringe on the rights and freedoms of the people, and those interpritations are meant to remove the power of the people over its gov't that is sworn to protect, and defend those rights AS STATED, there is ONLY one interpritation that is correct! THAT is NOT suggestive when applied with the bill of rights and the federalist papers! infringe upon what 'rights' rights themself seem to be interpreted subjectively, any amendment could be said to have infringed upon someones 'right' to do something,,,,its a term used too broadly to encompass whatever people want to do outside of murder and theft,,, THE CONSTITUTION WAS WRITTEN TO ENPOWER THE PEOPLE, NOT ENSLAVE THEM! Rights are endowed by the creator (whatever your belief), freedom is what the constitution entitles! Anything that acts against that freedom is not a subjective act, but treason! give me a break! the constitution was not written by flawless men nor is it some flawless all encompassing prophetic outline to 'freedom' and 'liberty' ARticle one , section 9 of the ORIGINAL CONSTITUTION The Migration or Importation of such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the Year one thousand eight hundred and eight, but a tax or duty may be imposed on such Importation, not exceeding ten dollars for each Person. ,,,,so that document wasnt actually concerned with everyones 'freedom' apparently,,, and we know how upset some slaveholders were when their 'right' to own human beings was threatened,,,... |

That was a voted, approved and ratified tarriff on imports and business! NOT a personal tax, but a cost of doing BUSINESS as is still in force today! There was no personal income tax till 1913 |
