so which 'honest' politician are we supporting this year
Im voting based upon what I perceive to be character and leadership and integrity and knowledge of global politics and work record,,, the ' 100% honest' standard would work about as well as trying to find an 'honest' human being who never gets anything wrong (intentionally or unintentionally) |

Hey, like Barack Hussein Obama fans I'm voting based on skin color NEWSFLASH" I would vote OBAMA regardless of what his skin color was. looking at the history of how slavery took two hundred years to turn around, Im not seeing the doom and gloom of things not being perfect after four years nor am I seeing any one particular term as 'responsible' for the country going to hell I personally think it began a long time ago, where morals are concerned,,,but that politics is going on as it is meant to,,,, |

Im sure thats what ya thought... drugs are too big a problem in the US for us to be so judgmental about the MAIN Source of revenue for some other culture,,, we cant force them to get rid of their culture, but we can help them protect themself against those who would steal their revenue source I think abortion kills babies, but I Would not have a fit if we put protection at abortion clinics to keep those performing them safe,,,,, |

You are blinded and cannot see..... THERE WAS NO OPIUM "LEGAL" UNDER THE TALIBAN RULE.... so what is "natural" about it as their national resource?
Rise of the Taliban (1994–2001) During the Taliban rule, Afghanistan saw a bumper opium crop of 4,500 metric tons in 1999,.[15] However, in July 2000, Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar, collaborating with the United Nations to eradicate heroin production in Afghanistan, declared that growing poppies was un-Islamic, resulting in one of the world's most successful anti-drug campaigns. As a result of this ban, opium poppy cultivation was reduced by 91% from the previous year's estimate of 82,172 hectares. The ban was so effective that Helmand Province, which had accounted for more than half of this area, recorded no poppy cultivation during the 2001 season.[16][17] The Bush administration paid a 43 million dollar 'eradication' reward payment to the Taliban in 2001. [13] However, some people believe that certain parties benefited from the price increase during the ban. Some even believe it was a form of Market manipulation on the part of certain drug lords. Dried Opium, unlike most agricultural products, can easily be stored for long periods without refrigeration or other expensive equipment. With huge stashes of opium stored in secret hideaways, certain groups involved in the drug trade were in theory able to make huge personal profits during the price spikes after the 2000 ban and the chaos following 9/11 |
