If you're hoping this will get people to learn to use the correct forms of the words, good luck.

sometimes I like to misuse words, misspell, and not use proper grammar just to piss off those who get annoyed by such. Other times I just don't care.

I never understood doing that on purpose, especially in a place where people communicate via writing.

I don't really do it to piss people off. Sometimes I'll just type and send and not proof read or really pay attention to how I type it out. Here, I don't care as long as people get the basic message.

In business I'm much more careful.

In both places (business and sites like this) you want people to understand you, yes? So why the different approach in writing?

And that reminds me... know/no. I'm surprised how many people get that wrong. laugh

Because I don't get paid here. I don't care if I look stupid here. I care if I look stupid and unprofessional in business.

Like I said as long as the basic message is delivered here, that's all I care about.

You lucky person. I have no job, so this is the only place where I get a chance to impress others (and to get a raise.)

Hmm, interesting. Thanks for explaining.

I feel differently, though. If I am going to meet people in a place where first impressions are on what is read, I'm going to make sure I write as well as possible, so that people understand what I'm saying and that I don't look stupid.

Talk wrong on purpose. I have had my fun with that as well. It just seems that the bar is so low now. When I come across someone who uses your/you're correctly, I automatically elevate them to Harvard professor staus. And I'm no English major myself.

I kind of feel the same about people who type full words in text messages.

The only time I care about anyones grammar and spelling is in business and if it effects the comprehension of the message.
