That's okay pie...but it doesn't stand up to the Browned Butter Peach!

Strawberry Rhubarb pie is really good...but it seems to me more of a man thing...I really go for my chocolate caramel pecan pie...that's to die for!

Here is another Peach Pie for your experience.
FRESH (raw) Peach Pie crust: 1 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup oil 1/2 TSP Salt 2 TBSP Sugar 2 TBSP Milk Mix with elec. mixer, Press into pie pan, Bake at 400 for 5 min, then 350 for 10 min. Filling: 1/2 cup sugar 3 TBSP corn starch 2 TBSP white Karo syrup 1 cup water Boil until thick & clear, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add 2 TBSP Peach Jello. Stir & cool slightly, add 6 sliced fresh RIPE peaches. Stir & pour into crust. Refridgerate, best if cooled several hours. Topping as you desire, I preferr none. Try this for a cool summer delight. |

My usual favorite is berry pie...or any weird combo of fruit (peach, pear, apple, etc) with light sugar. Pumpkin is completely freakin' awesome (mine is super yummy, if I do say so myself!) But that peach brown butter thingee was OUT OF THIS WORLD awesome! |
