So is it just me or do you find that ALOT of the guys on here are quote: "Working outside of the country on CONTRACT?" whats up with this? Is it a scam or what? if you have had this happen to you too drop me a line...

When I read that people are working outside of the country, especially in Africa I immediately think that they are scammers. Yes, this has happened to me too.

Frequently it is. They portray themselves as engineers, working for an oil or petroleum company-temporarily overseas in the UK or wherever. Most times they have only one photo and the sentence structure and writing on the profile seems awkward. If in doubt you can hit the report button next to the profile and report them. Many times they are overly serious in the first email to you. That way administration can look into it and deactivate the account if he or she is a scammer.

This has happened to me. They are also eager to get you to correspond with them on an offsite IM, such as yahoo, etc. I was corresponding with a guy for a couple of weeks, and then it started to become clear. He was in another country working, and had lost his wallet. I could tell he was getting around to asking me to send him money, so I cut off all correspondence with him, and I no longer will correspond with anyone claiming to be working in another country, and alot of them claim to be widowed with one child who really needs a mother.

Will work for money or sex.
