I would like to believe most would be honest in stating what they have specific preferences to in regards to this site and life in general...

I agree with Sage and Lex, I haven't set any preferences and have made some incredible friends on here. There are some great people on here and I consider myself lucky to have some of them as my friends.

Hm this is interesting topic,everyone is different so you never know who your going to run into and when you do what you might find out about them. To many people set limits on distance. What happens if you find your soul mate persay. So your going to stop yourself from living because they don't live in your area? Hell if I did that I would not have the friendship that is turning into a wonderful relationship. So now looking at that like Sage said,how many people you pasted up because you limit yourself. This try to find what I want weather it's just a friend or more and not looking for what will make you happy could end up making you alone for a long time. Sorry I was reading this thread and one persons mistakes should not be held agants everyone and stop you from moving on. One thing I have learnd in life is I can't blam my past for my actions today. So I say move on,take a chance in life and see where it goes because you never know who you might meet or where it might go.

I have no preferences set either, and I've met some really nice people here. But if I try to email someone because of something I've read in the threads, and am blocked because of their preferences; it just takes a message that I'd like to email --but am blocked, and then we can talk.

I don't have filters set but i do have preferences about those I would chose to get to know beyond friends. However, every once in a while a special person comes along who expands my thoughts of what I thought I was looking for. Best to keep your options open.
