In a classic REJECTION of the ObamuBUST budget plan..
The House voted 0 in favor 414 against.. The Senate voted 0 in favor 99 against.. Even with coming out of the closet he got ZERO votes from gay members of Congress.. President Obama's budget suffered a second embarrassing defeat Wednesday, when senators voted 99-0 to reject it. Even the Black Caucus.. no, actually, when the vote was brought up it was by the republicans and another plan had already been proposed by the president that the democrats were more in support of,,,they said the vote was a ploy to suggest President OBama had no support when all it really meant was there had been a better plan submitted since that one,,,,, |

Republicans in Congress have been working to try to identify a spending cuts package that doesn't slash Pentagon and Homeland Security funding. The proposed budget from the House GOP would instead make steeper cuts in social services - like the food stamp program, which is at an all time high - and make cuts to Obamacare. Democrats in Congress have supported many of the GOP's budget proposals, and yet the Obama Administration is in favor of a blanket veto no matter what. The Associated Press writes that Obama wants the GOP to "work with him to produce a larger deficit-cutting package," yet at the same time will refuse any budget that cuts any programs "below levels agreed to in last summer's budget pact." That effectively means that President Obama is unwilling to discuss anything other than the across-the-board cuts that are already scheduled to take place. This is pure incoherency coming out of the White House. |

The funny part of it is the reason why no Democrats voted for it... Because it was not the President's actual budget proposal but rather a Republican mock-up sent out as a kind of publicity stunt. As far as I can tell, this pointless and stupid exercise and waste of taxpayer money must be blamed squarely on the Republicans and makes them just look like showboating fools wasting our money on frivolous politically motivated votes. Just frikken hilarious!
How many Senator-staff-hours and Congressional-staff-hours were blown on this gigantic double-decker busload of Caca de Toro?
