your own kind. On my recent misadventure, I was told to sick to "my own kind". I said "Sure, if you can find me some geeks, dweebs, nerds and dorks, I'd be happy to!" I can't believe people still think this way. I made friends with the Hispanic neighbors. Nobody else would. They had a house warming party with tons of beer and a double industrial margarita machine and such good Mexican food I could smell it over the fence. I scored the only invite to the party on the whole street because I was nice to them. I am from Southern California after all. Margaritas + real Mexican food = good time for all I was not allowed to go. Some other Hispanic neighbors were having a huge fiesta. The whole neighborhood called the cops on them the second they violated the noise ordinance. It was not that loud. I never saw such a clear divide and hatred between races as I did in this very rural area. It was horrifying. Has anyone else been through this? I am not used to this. I mean if I had just walked over to either house I am sure I would have been welcomed with open arms. The one couple for sure. I bought some California Pizza Kitchen pizzas. Some veggie and some chicken. I was yelled at that the only acceptable sauce for pizza was marinara and that the only acceptable pizza toppings were pigs and cows which were put on this earth to be killed and eaten on pizza. Talk about culture shock. I mean who does not like a BBQ Chicken pizza??
