I don't even know why I'm watching this ish..could be because i can't move to turn the channel right now.

I didn't realize there was so much more to this case? In her 911 call she stated that she didn't call the police 31 days earlier because she was trying to use 'other resources' to find her daughter? Holy ginger snaps...that biotch shoulda went to prison just for THAT alone!

I think the jury was stuck on not haveing a definite cause of death and felt they couldnt come back with murder charge without it,,

I just can't fathom someone not reporting their child missing for a month and in the meantime partying it up while she's missing. Not to mention someone looking up how to make chloroform at the home and then they find it in the car.....lets not forget the evidence in HER car. Idk...i think thats way more than enough for me. Either way she shoulda reported her missing at the very least...

I think prosecutors go for the max expecting a lesser charge on many occasions

because lesser charges are included

and if they can get murder convictions with NO BODY(although it is rare), they may have thought enough of the circumstances surrounding the girls discovery would successfully support murder,,,

its crazy that she got less time than some parents get for 'abandoning' children to go to the store or work,,,,,

Like I said being stupid isn't a crime. I have looked at wierd crap on my computer and I like learning about things so when I talk about them in forums I know what I am talking about, so just looking up Cloroform isn't a crime and there wasn't much evidence in her car honestly.

Also just because you or I would call 911 immedietly and error on the side of caution if we thought ANYTHING happened or was going to happen to a child doesn't mean everyone is like that.

So i'm watching more of this and apparently they insinuated that Casey was in some sort of shock when finding her daughter had drown? Therefor she didn't call the police...

Wow...

I missed a lot on this case.

They don't always over charge, they go for the maximum punishment wise though.

I know everyone reacts different in different situations...still cant and will never understand how someone could go on living it up while their child is missing or while they know that they are dead.
