It wasn't important to me as my mom was a terrible mom. I guess some people had good moms and this is their way of thanking her.

Without my mother ..I would not be the person I am today. So speaking for myself only..Yes, Mother's Day is very important and I make sure to go out of my way to let her know how much I appreciate her and all her sacrifices in life for me.

I don't have a relationship with my mother but I still send a card - nothing mushy, I'm not a hypocrite. But I do acknowledge her and the relationship I wish we had. It keeps the door open, I suppose...although I don't think she'll ever give me any response at all.
Still, as both a daughter and a mother of my own 2, I can look at myself in the mirror and know I've done the best I can. It makes me sad, though. ...AND to all the Mother's out there - those with kiddos of their own, those that foster or adopt, those who lost a child, those who want but cannot conceive, those that love kids whose own mothers are less than attentive, fathers who serve as both parents and every adult who offers a kid a mentoring, loving adult figure... HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! |

With the ages of some having babies all mothers are not old.
As far as being important it is a day for me to remember. A mother that did not have the chance to raise her kids, nor the kids know her. But....now that I have kids they have always made it a special day for me .....it makes me feel important~~~~ So yeah it is a day to tell your mom we appreciate all you have done for us. Besides there is a Father's Day as well... The mothers and fathers of this world are the back bone of this country.... |

My biological womb donor split when I was 6 months old
Forgive me if I don't actually care about what a mother is supposed to be. My Dad was my mom. |

My biological womb donor split when I was 6 months old Forgive me if I don't actually care about what a mother is supposed to be. My Dad was my mom. Cheers to that! It's not about gender when it comes to who's a mom or who's a dad. |
