when i was a child, i would get terrible stomach-aches.
my mother would make this tea from a pale-green plant, & it worked wonders! (terribly awful-tasting, though)

I fell instantly in love with this shop the minute i walked in. I'd post a link to show you the numerous varieties of gorgeous teas they have, but i'm not sure it's allowed.

Do you have a shop that specialise in teas where you are??

You can post the link, it's allowed. And I'd live to check it out.

Ruth, if you can grow a mint on your patio then you should be able to grow a bee balm plant in a pot there also (although it is a taller plant). With that in mind: if you like Earl Grey tea and run out of it, you can add the leaves of a Bee Balm plant to any regular tea and it gives the hint of the Earl Grey tea flavor. The bonus: Bee Balm flowers are beautiful. I especially like the red ones flowerforyou

This is so great to know! Thank you, I think I will try that. flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou

As a side note, that peppermint is taking over the huge pot I planted it in. I planted mint, basil, sage and parsley less than a month ago (I think) and here's what happened.

The peppermint is squeezing out the other plants. It's growing like crazy. I think I need to take it out and give it its own pot.

That mint will take over everything.. My neighbor planted some around the pool area where she has flowers and it is now growing up between the boards on the deck...she complains because she has to pull it up all the time..bigsmile
