Flew through the first two books, on the wait list at the library for the third.

Enjoyed the movie, though it felt slow in a couple of places. A couple minor changes but not as bad as could have been.

Enjoyed the movie mostly due to Jennifer Lawrence....She is a great "new" actor...I loved her role in "Winter's Bone"...

Hmmm...something familiar: teens forced to fight each other to the death until only one remains...why does that sound so familiar? Oh yeah!

I liked the movie a lot, but I thought it deserved a stronger rating than PG.

There are 42 million children murdered every year without any government raising a finger, but I guess it's okay when the person doing the killing is a doctor.

I remember several plots like this one

the lottery was a story about harvest season and someone having their 'ticket' pulled to be sacrificed

lord of the rings also made me think of the children killing children theme,,,,,

I'm not saying Battle Royale did it first, the writer of the book Battle Royale was based on says he was inspired by Stephen King's The Running Man, and The Long Walk.

And I think you're thinking of Lord Of The Flies:wink:

I've only seen the trailer and heard what some have said about it..seems to be popular.

The kids have to kill each other, kill or be killed?
