I used to believe in the whole twin flames/soul mate thing....

Don't get me wrong I'm not jaded....I just am ...hmmm maybe seasoned lol....anyways...I believe mature and lasting love starts not full grown and manifested but....as just a tiny seed...and with patience, respect and a little fun mixed in...it will slowly grow over time and unfold ....never complete...always evolving....

What do you think??? I'm curious to know :)

I do believe in soulmates/twin flames. I also know that it takes work to keep the flame alive. Don't take each other for granted. Part of the soulmate dynamic is learning from each other, so that type of relationship is not always "easy".

I don't necessarily believe in there being "only one". I believe in reincarnation, and that souls travel through time and space to be together life after life, not always in the same role or relationship. Thus, kindred spirits, friends, lovers, and other people that you connect with seemingly instantly are all around. I am very blessed to have many people in my life that I feel I have LONG term bonds with.

I always heard the phrase soul mate in the context of multiple lives,,,

I thought it just meant that two souls were 'promised' to go through lifes journey together in a previous life ,,,

I dont believe in multiple mortal lives, but I can consider that maybe before the soul is breathed into the body it is already bonded with specific souls that are also waiting for their mortal body,,,,

I think your definition is a good one Kevin. Bonding and knowing each other takes time. People are complexed. We all have met people who we feel like we have known forever. IMO these relationships are easy & as close to soul mates as it gets.

someone once told me that your soul is made up of many parts.
and you can find three great loves in your life that will be the greates loves of time.. but see they said to me that 5 people can make up your soul she said that her three best friend her daughter and her husband make her soul.

in ever aspect her soul is at peace. i am her daughter we found eachother and adopted eachother when i was thirteen
her best friends are a spanish teacher, a very promenant lawyer, and a women who works for a nonprofit organization.. now when she met my father they didnt like eachother they were set up on a blind date. then they were both coming from a unlv game and then he asked her out again. she went and she fell in love he said to her that if he says he loves her than that means he wants to marry her. now they are still married and they celebrated there 40th wedding aniversary and she still has her three best friends and me and she is at peace every day . so a soul mate is not a mith even may soulmates are no mith but to hope for just one that is selling yourself short..

when you meet your soulmate you will know straight away its when you feel that connection and bond and the more you chat to that person the closer you become

i have believed in the whole soul mate thing all of my life. Unfortunately, im the hopeless romantic, which seems to continuously get me kicked where it counts. However, after a six year relationship with my girlfriend ended, im wondering, was I wrong to believe?

It is such a hard thing to believe in as I have to believe that there is more than one love per person in a lifetime.
