Numerology says that our lives operate in 9 year cycles. Having loosely followed this since 2005, I would have to say its pretty accurate regarding the big picture of the year. It's easy to figure out what year you are in and it helps you to understand the general energies of the year and how they will help or hinder your goals. Here's a site that gives the formula and tells you what it means. http://www.astrology-numerology.com/num-personalyear.html Your personal years starts on your birthday. So if your birthday isn't until September or later you probably want to use the formula for 2011. Use the formula for 2012 to see what your year will be like for the end of 2012 and most of 2013.

Ok!!! Oct.3, what year are my in? You are currently in a year 7 and will enter year 8 on your birthday. I find the energy starts to shift a couple months before your birthday though.

Anyway, it resembles horoscopes, which remind me of a story where this lady went to read hers and it described her pretty accurately, then she realized it was the wrong one, so she read them all, and she related to all of them. lol
