It is not a first amendment issue...

He signed up for the armed forces so he has to respect a superior officer.

According to Article II, Section 2, Clause I of the Constitution, the President of the United States is commander-in-chief of the United States Armed Forces.[12] The current commander-in-chief of the United States Armed Forces is Barack Obama, the 43rd person to hold the position.

So, regardless of any leanings, the law of the land must be exercised. Including Military Police stepping in.

Punitive Articles of the UCMJ
Article 89—Disrespect toward a superior commissioned officer

“Any person subject to this chapter who behaves with disrespect toward his superior commissioned officer shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”

You can read more about what this means HERE

People also try to debate that the President is not an officer. However, as commander-in-chief he has officer status.
Being a commander-in-chief of the armed forces makes you the highest ranking officer but not at an officer's pay.

Anything else regarding obama's character is Ad Hominem fallacy without regard to the law.

my ex was a sailor,, not nearly as strict a regime as marines

he was arrested for assaulting me in our home, what some might think is 'off duty',, but guess what

AFTER returning to the ship, he was also placed in barracks for the assault,,,without me ever saying a word or pressing a charge

he was conducting himself in an unbecoming way that reflected on the navy because he was a sailor,,,,,

that's true. it's called double jeopardy. After the civilian courts are done, then you go to a military court for the same offense.

lol,, you have been enlisted?

no lie about it and perhaps more research would be wise before accusing someone of lying

if the civilian courts get you, the military than has a cause for a conduct unbecoming citation in which they can and will decide upon punishment,,,

Not sure if it's article 134 or 138 of the ucmj. but its the article that covers all articles not covered. Catch 22. If they want your *** they're gonna get it. This marine was warned, he was told what the consequences were. He picked his fight and now he has to deal with the fallout. I don't give him high marks for smart but I give him an A for heart. Sempre Fi means a lot more than lowering your eyes and saying yes sir. All military take an oath to defend the constitution from ALL enemies foreign and Domestic. If his belief is that strong and he wants to go for it about all I can say is OOHRAH
